Nous sommes passionn\u00e9s par nos innovations dans le domaine de la technologie UWB et par la promesse de transformer la connectivit\u00e9 sans fil \u00e0 courte port\u00e9e pour les jeux, l&rsquo;audio, les applications AR\/VR\/XR et les applications de capteurs IoT, entre autres. L&rsquo;UWB d\u00e9fie les d\u00e9fis de performance et d&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique impos\u00e9s il y a plus de 20 ans par l&rsquo;ancien Bluetooth, et SPARK est \u00e0 l&rsquo;avant-garde de cette r\u00e9volution technologique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mais ce n&rsquo;est qu&rsquo;une partie de notre histoire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SPARK Microsystems s&rsquo;est \u00e9galement engag\u00e9 \u00e0 relever les d\u00e9fis de la durabilit\u00e9 environnementale. Il ne s&rsquo;agit pas simplement d&rsquo;\u00eatre une entreprise citoyenne responsable &#8211; nous voulons vraiment rendre le monde meilleur, et c&rsquo;est inscrit dans notre ADN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&rsquo;IMPACT ENVIRONNEMENTAL D&rsquo;UWB<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les avantages de SPARK UWB en termes de performances sont essentiels pour permettre \u00e0 la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d&rsquo;appareils mobiles connect\u00e9s sans fil d&rsquo;\u00eatre optimis\u00e9s pour une efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique extr\u00eame. En pratique, cela permettra aux consommateurs d&rsquo;utiliser leurs appareils sans fil pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s &#8211; p\u00e9riph\u00e9riques de jeu, \u00e9couteurs audio, lunettes AR, etc. &#8211; pendant des intervalles beaucoup plus longs entre les recharges, ce qui r\u00e9duira les interruptions et am\u00e9liorera le plaisir g\u00e9n\u00e9ral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Au niveau macro, ces \u00e9conomies d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie s&rsquo;ajoutent \u00e0 quelque chose de bien plus grand &#8211; en particulier dans le domaine de la d\u00e9tection IoT, o\u00f9 les appareils aliment\u00e9s par des piles de petite taille continueront \u00e0 prolif\u00e9rer \u00e0 un rythme exponentiel dans nos usines, nos r\u00e9seaux d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie renouvelable, nos infrastructures intelligentes et bien d&rsquo;autres encore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les piles de ces appareils sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement remplac\u00e9es au moins une ou deux fois au cours de la dur\u00e9e de vie des capteurs &#8211; pour les appareils \u00e0 courte dur\u00e9e de vie, certaines piles ne seront pas remplac\u00e9es du tout. Si elles ne sont pas \u00e9limin\u00e9es correctement, ces piles et ces dispositifs mis au rebut posent un probl\u00e8me environnemental majeur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selon un r\u00e9cent rapport des Nations unies, \u00ab\u00a0le monde produit pas moins de 50 millions de tonnes de d\u00e9chets \u00e9lectroniques et \u00e9lectriques (e-d\u00e9chets) par an, ce qui repr\u00e9sente un poids sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui de tous les avions de ligne jamais construits\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il s&rsquo;agit l\u00e0 d&rsquo;un probl\u00e8me majeur de d\u00e9chets en aval, au sens figur\u00e9 comme au sens propre. On estime \u00e0 3 milliards le nombre de piles s\u00e8ches achet\u00e9es chaque ann\u00e9e rien qu&rsquo;aux \u00c9tats-Unis, mais on estime que seulement 10 % de ces piles sont correctement \u00e9limin\u00e9es. Il reste donc potentiellement 300 millions de piles qui pourraient finir \u00e0 la d\u00e9charge ou \u00eatre incin\u00e9r\u00e9es, entra\u00eenant la lixiviation de m\u00e9taux lourds toxiques dans le sol, l&rsquo;eau et\/ou l&rsquo;atmosph\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CAPTEURS SANS PILE<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Au minimum, la technologie sans fil UWB SPARK promet de prolonger consid\u00e9rablement la dur\u00e9e de vie de ces piles en maximisant l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique des capteurs h\u00f4tes eux-m\u00eames. L&rsquo;ensemble des \u00e9conomies d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie et la r\u00e9duction de l&rsquo;utilisation et du remplacement des piles contribueront en fin de compte \u00e0 r\u00e9duire les d\u00e9chets des d\u00e9charges, les \u00e9missions de CO2 et d&rsquo;autres contaminations toxiques de l&rsquo;environnement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mais nous pouvons faire plus si nous voyons plus grand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tout comme la technologie sans fil \u00e0 courte port\u00e9e a ouvert la voie au d\u00e9ploiement de capteurs sans fil, l&rsquo;UWB promet un avenir o\u00f9 les capteurs IoT seront d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s sans batterie. Une technologie \u00e0 faible consommation d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie telle que SPARK UWB ouvre la voie \u00e0 un avenir de capteurs IoT sans batterie qui exploitent les technologies de collecte d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie pour produire leur propre \u00e9nergie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ces capteurs n&rsquo;auront pas besoin de batteries embarqu\u00e9es au sens traditionnel du terme.
