Fares is a seasoned Global Executive with more than 30 years of broad management experience in semiconductors, EDA and healthcare IT. Most recently Fares  was VP/GM of the Semiconductor Business Unit  at ANSYS, the world’s leader in engineering simulation. Before ANSYS, he was President of TeleResults, a Healthcare IT company focused on transplant and organ disease patient management.  Fares has held various executive management, marketing and sales and  engineering roles at at Actel Corporation (acquired by Microsemi), AMD and Samsung Semiconductor. Mubarak holds a MSEE degree from Case Western Reserve University and a MBA from Golden Gate University.

Frederic Nabki, PhD, leads the technological innovation that SPARK Microsystems brings to market. With 25 years of experience in RFIC and MEMS research and development, he earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from McGill University in 2010. Nabki has shaped technology roadmaps for emerging technology companies, led the development of advanced technologies, and contributed to multiple product launches. His expertise spans analog, RF, and mixed-signal integrated circuits, as well as MEMS sensors and actuators. He has authored numerous scientific publications, holds multiple patents in microsystems and integrated circuits, and serves on the Board of Directors of the UWB Alliance.

Dominic Deslandes, PhD, leads SPARK Microsystems’s long-term technology vision. Dominic has 19 years of experience in the design of RF systems. In the course of his career, he managed several research and development projects in the field of antenna design, RF system integration and interconnections, sensor networks and UWB communication systems. He has collaborated with several companies to develop innovative solutions for microwave sub-systems. Dominic holds a doctorate in electrical engineering and a Master of Science in electrical engineering for Ecole Polytechnique of Montreal, where his research focused on high frequency system integration.

Dhiraj Sogani is a market-driven wireless industry executive with more than 25 years of global experience in semiconductors, systems, and EDA. He joins SPARK after senior leadership roles at Silicon Labs and Redpine Signals, where he launched and scaled wireless product lines generating hundreds of millions in revenue. His expertise spans product strategy, go-to-market execution, ecosystem development, global sales, and marketing for IoT end-devices. Dhiraj has built and led multi-geography teams, guided organizations through major integrations and acquisitions, and managed broad wireless and MCU portfolios including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 802.15.4. He holds a BS from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Sylvain Jalbert joined SPARK Microsystems as Vice President of Engineering in October 2021. Sylvain has over 25 years of experience managing teams and projects, and product development hardware and software in different industries such as intelligent robotics, industrial, mining, heavy vehicles, train control, automobile, telecommunication, agriculture and medical. He has extensive experience in organizational transformation initiatives, team building, process improvement, and the learning culture. Sylvain is a professional engineer holding an Executive MBA from ESG UQAM.

Mohammad Taherzadeh, PhD, is a principal design engineer of different RF and mixed-signal circuits in SPARK Microsystem’s revolutionary wireless products. Mohammad received his Ph.D. from McGill University in 2011, and has 15 years of experience in the research and development of mixed-signal and RF IC design. He authored several publications in distinguished journals and conferences. His technical expertise focuses on radio frequency and wireline communication circuits, as well as high-quality and high-speed data converters in advanced CMOS.

Michiel Soer, PhD, is a technical lead in bringing SPARK Microsystems’s bleeding-edge wireless products to market. Michiel has 11 years of experience in the research and development of RFICs and microwave systems. He obtained his Master of Science and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with honors from the University of Twente in 2007 and 2012 respectively. He has published in internationally peer-reviewed journals and conferences. His technical expertise spans analog, digital, RF and mixed-signal integrated circuits in advanced CMOS.

George Taylor joined SPARK Microsystems as the Vice-President of Sales in April 2017 with more than twenty-five years of professional semiconductor experience. Prior to joining SPARK, George was Director of Business Development at Soitec working with key semiconductor leaders in RF, Photonics, and Digital technologies.  George has also held various sales, business development and engineering positions at Arteris  Microchip, Samsung and Actel/Microsemi and OnSemi.

A seasoned finance professional with over 15 years of experience in manufacturing and tech industry with various organizations in a global scale. Gale was the Director of Finance at The Flowr Corporation, a Toronto-based CPG company with operations in Canada and European Union. She also spent over six years in the semiconductor industry with PMC Sierra, Microsemi Corporation and Microchip Technology, progressing her career to becoming the Financial Controller for the Enterprise Solutions and Communication Division with global revenues of US$700M and financial operations in Canada, US, Malaysia, India, China and Israel. Gale began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she held progressive positions in the assurance group. Gale is a designated CPA, CA and holds a Bachelor of Technology from BC Institute of Technology.
